Janette is known for her expressive painting and joyful use of colour. Working from her studio overlooking Morecambe Bay, she is inspired by nature and the light-filled landscapes of the South Lakes.
Preferring to create work in series reflecting her current obsessions, she is happy to move between florals and landscape, watercolours and oils, drawing and painting.
"Most recently I have been taking inspiration from my estuary view as I find myself responding to the shapes and colours as they move and morph throughout the day and the seasons. My aim is to develop sensuous and playful layers of fluid and manipulated paint that offer a sense of space while inviting you into my own colourfields."
