Fiona Clucas

Fiona completed an Art Foundation course at Leicester Polytechnic in 1982 and obtained a BA In Fine Art at Gloucestershire college of Arts and Technology in 1985.

Living close to Morecambe Bay, the mudflats, mosses and wildlife, through to the changing seasons, light and weather, continue to provide much inspiration.

Her own garden untamed in its nature attract many birds and insects that also feature in her work.

She paints out in the landscape using gouache and mixed media.Works in the studio include large gouache paintings, works in oils and large drawings in charcoal and graphite.

Above all her work is very much about a Spirit Of Place, a celebration of these wild habitats and the creatures that depend on them.

She is a member of The Society Of Wildlife Art, The Witherslack group of Artists, and Kendal Art Society.
