Elected to the Society 2006
Beverley White, printmaker and painter, was born in Salford 1957 and began wood engraving in 1989 and elected to membership of the Lake Artists Society in 2006
Beverley’s images are drawn from a combination of sketches and memory, or direct studies of natural forms. The wood-engraving tools give great scope for examining detail and creating texture. These activities are explored further with reduction (colour) linocuts and watercolour paintings especially for fungi and birds nests.
