The Society is continuing with its programme of awards for Non-members, the object being to encourage and reward excellence and innovation in both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional media.
Non-members successful in having work selected for the Summer Exhibition will automatically be considered for the following awards:
- Award for work on paper sponsored by Kent Valley Colour Printers, Kendal – £150 cheque
- The Ophelia Gordon Bell Award: an award for sculpture, jointly sponsored by
Lakeland Mouldings and The Heaton Cooper Studio – £150 vouchers
- Award for work in oil or acrylic value sponsored by Youdells – £50 vouchers
- John Entwistle Award, Public Award for favourite landscape by a Member or Non-member – £250 cheque
Peter Tyson award for young person working figuratively in any medium 25 and under – £200 cheque
Winners will be informed as soon as possible after judging. Prizes will be awarded during the Members’ evening at The Hall, Grasmere (excluding the John Entwistle Award which will be awarded at the end of the Exhibition when the people’s votes are counted).
